Emma Rose Kiely is Perth’s breakthrough beauty pioneer—creator of Thistle & Rose, and known across the industry as the “Eyebrow Engineer” and “Skin Sensation.” Since launching her clinic in Karratha in August 2016, she has rapidly become a leading expert in cosmetic tattooing and skin therapy practices.
Emma began her career in Auckland, New Zealand, before advancing her expertise working alongside cosmetic nurse injectors, dermatologists, and surgeons across Melbourne and the Gold Coast. Driven by her passion to uplift regional communities, she relocated to Western Australia’s Pilbara region, where she fulfilled her dream of building a boutique practice dedicated to brow, lip, and skin transformation.
Her services are distinctive not only for their aesthetic precision but for creating visible and meaningful results. Emma is renowned for her cosmetic brow tattoos—earning her the nickname “Eyebrow Engineer”—as well as her lip tattoo artistry, and her dermal expertise in treating inflammatory and photo-damaged skin as the residential “Skin Sensation.”

She was the first student in the country to graduate with the optional Diploma of Cosmetic Tattoo (Brows, Eyeliner & Lips) through THIK Aesthetics (May 2023), and is currently completing an AQF Level 8 Graduate Diploma of Dermal Science, targeted for completion in December 2024. Her ongoing training also includes advanced certifications across domains such as laser safety, cosmeceutical formulation, patient consultation, and energy- and light-based therapies.
